A school superintendent is the head of the administration in a school district responsible for making policies, hiring senior staff, and managing finance. He is also called the CEO of the school district. The person handles a wide set of responsibilities and reports to the school board. Being at the top position in a school district, the superintendent has to analyze and fulfill the demands of staff, student advocates, parents, community leaders, faculty, and administration. He has to ensure that the goals and vision set by the school board are put into action. This part of the duty requires him to draft and enforce new policies and programs. Since he has the control over finance, he is also answerable for better allocation and utilization of financial resources. To ensure right spending, policies, and staff, the incumbent have to visit each school and discussed problems with principal. Together, with the school principal and school leaders, he will then prepare and implement action plans.
