Nannies are in-house child caretaker employed by parents. Their role is to provide nurturing care to the child and ensure his or her safety till the time the parents return from work. Some of them will also do household work like grocery shopping and laundry. However, the most important responsibility of these caretakers will be to provide care to the child. They will do all the activities that a mother does for her children. From changing diapers, maintaining hygiene of the children, feeding children, playing with and allowing children to take sufficient rest.
To work as a nanny, a person must have love and compassion for children. She must not be highly qualified, but at lest be able to speak and write in English. In addition, she must also have basic knowledge of handling emergencies. Further, experience of preparing and feeding meals to children, and light housework are also essential.
