Paying employees according to number of hours worked and the rate agreed at the time of employment is important for companies in bringing down attrition. For this, payrool clerks are hired. These clerks execute the responsibility of financial clerks. They mainly collect data from each department of the company for the number of hours worked by each employee, and calculate their wages as per employment terms, and prepare the payroll. It is a responsible job and have to be executed with complete attention as any mistake in the salary figure of employees may cause unrest to the management. Along with the salary, the payroll clerks also have to see if any employee is entitled for commission or incentive and do the necessary.
