CAD (Computer-aided Design) technicians are skilled in working with software used for creating prototypes of buildings, machinery, automobiles, and anything to be used in manufacturing and construction. As such, job opportunities for these professionals are available in several industries. As a CAD technician, you will either create 2D design or 3D design based on your experience, expertise, and the project requirements.
