Avionics technicians are electronic engineers whose responsibilities is to repair and maintain electronic components installed in helicopters, airplanes, and spacecraft. They are specialist in taking care of the entire electronic system that are of high-degree complexity. The safety of passengers and the aircraft rely on them since they have to inspect, do the needful, and ensure the aircraft is safe for flying. Their job is not confined to any one particular category. In fact, these avionics technicians have to check, test, repair, and maintain everything from computer system, to radar system, radio communication, and other electronic devices without which the functions of the aircraft are impossible and risky for the lives of the passengers.
To work with the aviation industry or the military, a degree in aviation technology is must. The degree must be from a school or institute approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Further, a license to pursue avionics technician profession is also mandatory.
