Support representatives or customer service representatives are responsible for building company's image. They are the first whom customers contact via phone, email, or in person. As such, they serve as the faces and voices of the company. Daily routine duties include handling phone calls, answering emails, and resolving customers' complaint. They work with different industries such as banking, automobile, telecommunication, and service-oriented businesses. They try to resolve issues at the end and in very rare cases refer them to the management. To provide service to customers, they must hold in-depth knowledge of the product or services the company deals in and its policies and procedures. The customer service representatives have to maintain the service standards of the company and resolve issues in 24 hours.

Excellent product or service knowledge, problem solving, phone, and good communication skills, along with abilities to resolve conflict diplomatically, multi-tasking, and documentation skills are essential for the job.
