He interacts with the crew, script writers, conducts, and monitors rehearsals. The person is also in charge of costumes, giving direction to the lighting crew, musicians, artists, and choreographers. The stage director also has to research and plan the kind of entertainment people expect. The job also includes reading and editing scripts, taking auditions, scheduling practices, and handling vendors and suppliers.
To work as a stage director, you have experience of direction and knowledge of camera placement. You also have to ensure that the play is neither too fast nor slow for the audience to lose track or get bored.
