Purchasing assistants are responsible for preparing and checking accuracy of reports, requisitions, vouchers, purchase orders, invoices, etc. They work in the purchase department of a retail store and help the senior purchasers in deciding which products and from where to buy. They will also look after data entry and administrative duties.
To work as a purchasing assistant, you must be a high school graduate. There are some businesses who will prefer a bachelor's or an associate's degree with major either in business or accounting.
