Chiropractic assistants' role is similar to any other medical assistants. The only difference among these types of medical service assistant is the employment setting. While medical assistants work in a doctor's clinic, the chiropractic assistants will work in chiropractic clinics. These CA will handle clerical and administrative duties of the clinic. They will greet customers, note down and pass on their problems to the chiropractor. They will also handle inquiries on phone as well as emails. The CA will also prepare calendar for the chiropractor and schedule appointments for patients accordingly. These assistants will also handle billing and payment collection from patients. Further, they will handle coding of patients' records and insurance claims. The incumbents are also responsible for keeping the examination rooms clean as well as assisting the chiropractor in providing physical therapies to the patients.
