When promotion is not coming in your way even after producing results, it is time to bring your performance in notice of the management. However, you cannot barge into the cabin of the manager and relieve your frustration. Since you are planning to continue with the company, a polite way of reminding the management would be to write an appeal letter for promotion. You must keep facts and figures ready in your hand that can testify your claim. Though the delay in promotion may have made your nervous, you must in no way get it spilled on the letter. Just be polite, firm and ask for what your deserve and are capable of.
February 14, 2014 To: Sub: Appeal to consider my promotion It gives me immense pleasure to state that I have been offering my services to the company for the last three years. I have always been diligent and committed for delivering more than your expectations. In these three years, I have achieved all types of targets the management has given to me as a Marketing Manager. I have proved my metal on every scale of my performance. My head of the department Mr. Alan Stuart has always appreciated my work. Along with oral praises, I also won the award for the best performer of the year twice. That proves that I have left no stone unturned to give utmost satisfaction to my employer. May I hereby request the management to recognize my sincere efforts during this tenure and consider my appeal for the promotion. I am confident to shoulder the upcoming challenges that are waiting for me. I will feel obliged if the company takes cognizance of my earnest attempts in contributing to the growth the company and promote me so that I could use my authorities and sources in a more effective and comprehensive manner. Sincerely yours, Adam Smith |
