PICC is a short-form used for Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter. It is long, thin, and flexible line used during blood transfusion, chemotherapy, and administering intravenous (IV) fluids. In other word, it is used to help medical care team in accessing blood vessels in the body. The PICC line nurses are certified to uses this apparatus on patients. They work under the supervision of doctors and ensure the line has been properly placed and everything is working in a normal condition.
