Behavior consultants help people suffering with behavior disorders triggered due to addiction to gambling, drugs, and other substances. They also help people who are suffering from addiction to shopping, makeup, and those who cannot control their emotion, be it anger, depression, violence, etc. These consultants are experts in psychology and behavior analysis. They can also treat people who are mentally retarded and experiencing developmental disabilities.

To work as a behavior consultant, you must hold a master's degree in psychology, human development, or behavior analysis. A certification is also essential and it must be accredited by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
