Lot attendants stand at the parking lots and guide vehicle owners in parking their cars in a systematic order. They work with hotels and perform valet parking job. These attendants are also employed by automobile companies to park the cars in the warehouse or parking areas. Local government that offers temporary parking facility against payment also hire them. The attendants may also be called by the traffic police department for help in impounding vehicles parked in no-parking areas. This job is offered to people with little or no education. However, ability to read and write, prepare tickets and collect parking fees is essential.
