An inside sales associate is hired to sell company's products to prospective customers. His job is no different than other sales executives. The only difference is that he contacts customers through phone calls and emails rather than visiting them on the field. So, one of the stark difference of this job position compared with other sales job is that there is no traveling or working in the field. The only time he is required to be in the field is when customers show keen interest in buying the products. The person must also have an outstanding personality, convincing power, and ability to express himself clearly. In addition, expertise in operating computer, creating presentations, giving demonstration, and excellent management skills are also needed. Above all, he must have a strong drive for sales and service.
