Border patrol agents work for the US Customs and Border Protection governed by the Federal government. Their role is to keep the US safe from immigrants trying to enter the country from the border illegally or without proper visas and passports, stop smuggling of illegal goods and drugs, human trafficking, and weapons potential of mass destruction. They are the enforcement officers who have to watch the assigned border area from infiltration and crime.
To work for the safety of the country, excellent physical and mental condition are required.
