Airline Ramp Agent Resume
Ramp agents are also called baggage handlers and fleet service agents. They work for commercial airlines, vendors, and contractors providing services at the airport terminal. Their job is to take the baggage from the cargo area, place them in the container cart, and drive it to the aircraft for loading. When the plan lands, they unload the cargo and drive it to the claim area. With experience, they even guide aircrafts to the parking area and moving out of it. Besides handling cargo, the baggage handlers are also responsible for minor maintenance of equipment, cart tugs, baggage loader belts, etc.
The job of an airline ramp agent requires physical stamina because of the loading and unloading of cargo. As the agents have to operate cargo-handling equipment, holding basic mechanical skills is also required. Further, teamwork, communication, and time management skills are needed.
