A camera operator captures images and motion of people in a camera for TV and film industry. He or she plays a vital role in the making of TV shows, music videos, documentaries, and motion pictures. The person works under the direction of cinematographer and executes his or her duties accordingly. The jobholder may have to scout for shooting locations and plan the best possible way to capture scenery and movements of actors. Some camera operators also work in broadcast studio and capture the subjects from one fixed location. The program may be live or telecast later on TV.
