Qualifications and Skills Required
The candidate must be a graduate to get employed for positions at the entry level in the film and video editing industry. He could also acquire a certificate program in video production. An associate's degree in video production would help him scale greater heights. Apart from all these, he must have good verbal and written skills and should be able to manage time very effectively. Having good client and computer skills are very necessary.
Work Conditions
The film and video editor works in a friendly ambience with cameramen, directors, actors and various other people. He remains very busy throughout the day and is supposed to deliver high quality products that satisfy all the customers and film makers. He takes rest in between the work sessions as per his and his co workers' suitability.
Salary
He draws an average salary of USD 70, 000 per annum. But this may vary depending on the size and the duration of the project undertaken by him.
